Extra-Curricular Clubs

Valley Primary School hosts a range of extra-curricular clubs to further develop the pupils’ interests, skills and talents. Clubs run before and after school with some also held during the lunchtime period. The extensive programme of clubs changes on a termly basis so please keep an eye out for when the termly clubs listing is published as spaces in some of the clubs fill up fast.

For clubs that are run by staff at school, parents can book their child into these using the Arbor app. However, if you wish to sign your child up to a club that is run by an external provider, you must liaise directly with the club provider using the contact information on the club list below.

Parents are kindly asked to pay close attention to the timings and dismissal locations of the individual clubs as these differ from club to club.

Selection for Sports Teams

We are very proud of the enthusiasm many of our pupils show for representing the school in sports teams. However, due to the limited number of places available for matches and competitions, it is not possible for every pupil who wishes to participate to be selected for a team at the same time. Team selections are made carefully by staff based on factors such as age-range, skill development, teamwork, effort in training, and the needs of the team for each event. We remain committed to ensuring that all pupils have opportunities to enjoy sport, develop their abilities, and take part in physical activity through lessons, clubs, and other school events.
